Steel roofs perform great and look even better

The sleek look of a hidden-fastener steel roof gives your cottage a modern style amid the natural beauty of Muskoka.

While the look is fantastic, the function of a steel roof is even better. Manufactured and installed by Steel on Wheels, the roof should last a lifetime and will protect your home, cottage and boathouse from the rigors of our northern environment.

“Steel roofs are an investment, and they are built to last when properly installed,” says owner Daniel Gisborne, a lifelong Skeleton Lake cottager who started Steel on Wheels in Muskoka 5 years ago. Previously, he spent 12 years mastering the trade in the Sea To Sky Corridor of British Columbia. While out there, he studied architectural sheet metal design at BCIT.

Using a roll former, every project is rolled on site to the exact required lengths, minimizing waste. Roofing panels range from 12- to 20-inches wide, and are as long as required to span the length of any roof. A wide variety of standard and premium colors are available.

Powder coated to match, snow stops are available for customers worried about falling snow. They use a clamp-on bracket so there are no unnecessary holes in your new roof.

Whether it’s just time to replace your roof, or you are planning a new build, choosing a hidden-fastener steel roof from Steel on Wheels is the smart choice for the present and the future.

Steel on Wheels can also supply full roof packages for you or your contractor to install. “We can clad your home, cottage or boathouse,” says Daniel. Having a steel roof will add to the resale value of your property should you ever decide to sell.

“We pride ourselves on getting it right the first time. There are many more important things in life to worry about. Let us take care of this for you.”
