Scandinave Spa

Relaxation destination is back to full operation

Healing your mind, body and soul requires more than a simple massage. A full wellness experience should stimulate all five senses in a calm, relaxing atmosphere.

It’s the type of experience one can find at Scandinave Spa Blue Mountain: the outdoor Nordic spa features Scandinavian Baths, saunas, eucalyptus steam, and more relaxing and healing areas.

Surrounded by incredible natural spaces, the spa’s property includes a forest bathing trail that is fast growing in popularity. Forest bathing helps alleviate stress and anxiety as you stroll through a forest and absorb the smells, sounds and gentle life energy that envelope you.

“Forest bathing is complimentary, and we encourage everyone to experience it,” says Mylisa Henderson, co-owner and Director of Marketing and Sales at Scandinave. “At the end of the trail, you get a nice little sample of forest-inspired tea to complete the experience.”

Scandinave Spa has also reintroduced tea sampling in the Massage Pavilion and Baths area. It’s part of providing relaxation and wellness sensations for all five senses.

“The Scandinavian Spa experience is also an introduction to nature for many people who have busy lives in the city,” says Mylisa. “Sight, taste, smell, sound, touch – it’s all connected.”

Spa at Home
Scandinave also encourages their guests to enjoy a Spa at Home experience. Locally made and custom-blended teas are available in cannisters to be purchased and enjoyed at home. So, too, are candles with natural scents selected to recreate the Scandinave experience.

“Brew yourself a cup of aromatic tea, and light a candle that brings the scents of an outdoor fireplace or a walk in the forest, and right away you’re able to re-create that getaway feeling at home,” says Mylisa. “Take a break, put on a cozy robe, and just sit and enjoy the moment.”

Favourite returns
Unwind Wednesdays are back in 2022. One of the most popular pre-pandemic programs at the spa, this mid-week promotion offers guests a discounted rate to access the Baths.

It’s also a great time to book a massage treatment as midweek days tend to be quieter: Friday through Sunday are prime time at Scandinave, although guest visits are scheduled to ensure it never feels overcrowded.

“Having a promotional day gives guests added value to visit weekdays,” says Mylisa. “People can experience the spas amenities as long as they like; there is no time limit.”

It’s yet another reason to take a trip to Scandinave Spa this summer, the relaxation destination well appointed to fulfill your wellness needs.
