Muskokify

Allow airflow in, keep pesky insects out

The sights, the sounds, the scents of a warm summer day at a Muskoka cottage are near the top of life’s great pleasures.

Unfortunately, along with those ideal conditions for you and your loved ones comes a variety of pests – some of which enjoy biting humans.

Fortunately, there is a variety of solutions available to maximize your cottage time while minimizing the negative impact of insects, explains Kevin Cardwell of Muskokify.

“When we look at screening in any area, we have to consider how the space is being used,” he says. “A Muskoka room or covered porch may benefit from a motorized screen or our vinyl windows and screens, whereas a large stacking door may require a 24-foot manual screen. We walk our customers through the process.”

The Muskokify team has spent over a decade installing high-end, Canadian-made manual and motorized screen and shutter products throughout cottage country. They source the best possible options to fit Muskoka rooms, boathouses, patios, gazebos, porches, and window openings across the region.

As a lifelong Muskoka cottager and experienced contractor, Kevin finds out what his clients want or need, then makes sure the installation is done right.

“Screens offer the ultimate protection, and not only from insects or other pests,” he says. “There are many options, including ultraviolet screens that will reduce UV rays by 98 per cent, which protects furniture, flooring, and boats from fading, as well as vinyl windows and screens that keep the weather out.”

Muskokify specializes in screening large openings over 20 feet wide. These can be screened with either a motorized or manual screen, which will cover an opening up to 42 feet wide.

“These large opening screens need to be installed correctly to ensure years of trouble-free service,” says Kevin.

Vinyl windows and screens are an excellent way to convert any screened Muskoka room into a three-season room, keeping the rain, wind, and snow out while allowing fresh air in, and providing plenty of openness on those sunny Muskoka days.

Professionally installed, high quality screens can take your outdoor living space to the next level and keep those wonderful Muskoka moments lasting longer.
