Scandinave Spa

Turn your day at the spa into a weekday retreat

Rated the Number One spa in Canada by the annual Spas of America Top 100 Spas list, Scandinave Spa Blue Mountain has become an iconic part of any visit to Collingwood and The Blue Mountains. Step out into the spa’s hydrotherapy wonderland and it’s easy to see why: its recently renovated steaming baths, dreamy waterfalls, state-of-the-art saunas, and eucalyptus steam room are the perfect stress-buster, surrounded by Adirondack chairs and hammocks to rest, read, or even nap in beneath the gentle rustling of the trees.

“We really want to offer a guest experience you cannot get elsewhere. The renovated pools, waterfalls and indoor spaces are a must see and do,” says Mylisa Henderson, co-owner of Scandinave Spa Blue Mountain.

While Scandinave offers the perfect daytrip destination, being only two hours from Toronto and Muskoka, they also partner with a range of accommodations in the area, including Blue Mountain Resort to create packages to turn your spa day into a spa staycation.

“Sometimes a long-distance vacation is too difficult to budget financially or schedule workwise. A staycation can offer all of those stress-relieving benefits, without a large investment,” says Mylisa. Simply visit Scandinave’s website for the full list of accommodation options – including leading resorts, boutique hotels, and bed and breakfasts – with links to book quickly and easily. “With so many options, you can find a package that’s right for you and your itinerary.”

Packages include an overnight stay at one of Scandinave’s trusted accommodation partners, along with reserved access to the spa’s thermal journey, available Monday through Thursday.

“This is the perfect opportunity to explore the charming towns of Collingwood, Thornbury, Meaford and Creemore, discover vibrant eateries and patios, fabulous shopping and art galleries, and hotels to fit every budget.”

In the warmer months, pair your Scandinave visit with a trip to Wasaga Beach, home of the longest freshwater beach in the world. Hike the escarpment trails or cycle the rolling hills of Grey County.

In the autumn, take in the gorgeous fall colours while biking Blue Mountain’s bike trails, hike the Bruce trail, and explore nearby apple orchards.

Or take time to warm up at the spa this winter apres-ski or apres-snowshoe, then enjoy a hot beverage while you take in the picturesque surroundings.

Whether you kick off your getaway by winding down at Scandinave Spa, or use the spa as a complement to your other activities, it is a perfect way to add to the health and wellness of your vacation time.
