There are many, many areas in Muskoka where a professionally installed, fully functional water filtration system is necessary for clean, potable water.
Rob and Lynn Dennys found out the hard way why the combination of expertise and quality components is essential.
Having moved to a Muskoka neighbourhood without municipal water service around eight years ago, the couple found themselves faced with significant tannins and iron in their well water.
“We put in a system,” says Rob. “But the system was very problematic, and it just wasn’t doing what needed to be done.”
Over a year ago, the couple called Water Depot and Eric Dube visited the Denys’ home. Eric and Nicole Blanchet own Water Depot locations in Bracebridge, Barrie, Wasaga Beach.
“He explained what he would do, he explained the costs,” says Rob. “Everything that they would attempt to do had a success pledge behind it. To this day, Eric has honoured that.”
Eric and his team removed the old system – which had been installed by a different company – and replaced it with a new one from Water Depot. Rob says “the improvement has just been wonderful.”
As Eric notes, every home or cottage has its own needs based on location and where the water is being drawn from.
“A properly designed and installed water treatment and filtration system will address all the issues your water source presents,” he explains. “Yellow tones caused by tannins, sediment in the water, the rusty smell of iron, clogged pipes – these are just a few common concerns.”
One thing that stands out to Rob and other Water Depot clients is the way Eric and his team treat each property like their own.
“When he was explaining things to us, it would be like he was putting it in his own house,” says Rob. “That was very comforting.”
Rob has since recommended Eric to many neighbours, and each has said “thank you” in one form or another. One family he helped had recently moved from out of province. The Denys showed this family their new system and explained everything, which led them to call Eric.
“I got a call a couple of weeks later from them saying their toilets were clear, their sinks were clear from iron stains, and they were just over-the-top thrilled.”
