Muskoka rooms are one of the most popular gathering places at homes and cottages throughout the region.
As Kevin Cardwell of Muskokify notes, everyone wants to have their senses stimulated by the warm air, summer scents, and vibrant views, but without the downside of inclement weather and annoying pests.
While some Muskoka rooms are part of the initial building process, others are created as additions or renovations to existing structures.
“Rather than have to build a new space, we can install quality screens to existing parts of your building like porches and verandas to expand your living spaces,” says Kevin. “We even have created amazing lounge areas on decks and at water level in boathouses with a combination of screens and shutters.”
With well over a decade of installing top-notch manual and motorized screen and shutters throughout cottage country, the Muskokify team provides the best possible advice to their clients.

“Screens that are installed by experienced and knowledgeable professionals offer protection from a lot more than just insects and pests,” says Kevin. “Our Canadian-made screens come in a variety of colours, with several mesh and vinyl choices.”
A lifelong Muskoka cottager and experienced contractor in his own right, Kevin understands the region and its nuances.
“For oversized openings like garage doors and French doors, we have a Horizon screen that is designed specifically for these spaces,” he says. “It can be installed on any difficult-to-screen opening, protecting up to 21 feet wide with a single unit and reaching 42 feet by going with two.”
These large screens are an easy-to-operate manual option for large spaces. Mid-size and smaller openings have more options, including remote controlled motorized screens for full convenience.
Some screens have tightly woven mesh that provide UV protection by reducing rays by 98 percent. These are especially useful to safeguard furniture, flooring and even boats from the intense UV rays that cause fading.
“We take into account our clients’ lifestyle needs when providing the best selections for their space,” says Kevin. “We help them make informed decisions on what screens to use on Muskoka rooms, patios, gazebos, porches and window openings.”
