Kings Valley Paving

Give your driveway the royal treatment

Your driveway is the unsung hero of your home’s exterior. It bears the weight of vehicles, welcomes guests, and even acts as a black canvas for your children’s chalk artistry. And it can add unexpected curb appeal by really letting your property shine.

“A smooth, black driveway really makes your home and the surrounding landscape pop. That is, if done correctly,” says Riccardo Iannello, owner of Kings Valley Paving (KVP) – one of the industry’s leading paving companies.

KVP has built a strong reputation for quality asphalt paving work since the family-owned business was established in 1978. Serving commercial, residential and industrial sectors, this asphalt leader has been treating their clients like royalty, with attractive, durable paving that stands the test of time and harsh weather conditions.

If your home is in need of a driveway repair, installation, or makeover, Riccardo suggests keeping one thing in mind: your paving is an investment. It will last for decades, but only if it’s done right.

To find the right paving company, Riccardo says to look at price, years in business, and commitment to the clients and community.

“We are not the cheapest. And that is a very good thing,” he adds. Inexpensive driveways are often built with poor quality materials that won’t stand up, or applied using a thin layer of asphalt that will deteriorate after a few seasons.

“We stand by our craftsmanship and our product.”

At KVP, every project comes with a one-year workmanship warranty that covers any repairs due to frost and settling ground. While asphalt is not infallible, if you are mindful of how and where it’s installed, you’ll have a smooth driveway that lasts.

“If there is a 50-foot tree right next to the driveway, your pavement will look great at first but the roots will begin to lift it, sometimes in just a few months.”

Dedication is a central facet of their company, from how they serve their clients to how they care for the community.

“We’re passionate about giving back,” he adds, noting their work with Mikey Network, the I Love You Connie Foundation, a variety of children’s winter toy drives, and most notably the Fabio’s Bright Smiles Foundation, which his family created in honour of his late brother Fabio, who passed away in 2019. “He was a cornerstone of our company.”

Fabio’s Bright Smiles Foundation advocates for mental health through concerts and events in support of CAMH.

“Fabio worked with us onsite. He laid the asphalt himself,” Riccardo adds. “We’re keeping his legacy alive through the quality and care we put into everything we do.”
