Finding a reliable and ethical contractor in any field can be a daunting task. When it comes to window cleaning, the feeling of hopelessness had set in for some Muskoka cottagers.
That is until they found Dreamview Window Cleaning, a Muskoka-based company owned and operated by husband-wife duo Jonathan and Simone Barnard, and Richard Bonavie.
Roderick Williams read about Dreamview in Dockside magazine shortly after the company began. He was intrigued and thought to himself, “they’re a new company, maybe I can get on as a client.”
He was right and has been extremely pleased with the results.
“I tried to get window cleaners before Dreamview for the cottage,” says Roderick. “Good luck. I called three companies. They just laughed at me and said, ‘right now we’re looking at the end of 2025, we’re so busy.’”
Right away, Roderick was impressed with the professionalism, customer service, and work ethic the Dreamview team brought to the job. He now uses them at least twice annually with scheduled visits in the spring and fall.
“They are super reliable, super friendly and there is a really nice vibe to the company,” he says.
He was surprised to see how detailed the team’s cleaning is – every nook and cranny gets attention. It’s good value for your dollar, says Roderick, as the team shows up with the right number of people to complete the “pretty big job.”
“They really do a thorough job,” he says. “All the windows on one side of the house face over the lake. You want to be looking out of the windows all the time, but you don’t want to be looking at the world through dirty windows.”
Roderick and his wife are very keen on keeping the natural environment, particularly the water, in good health. That’s another reason they recommend working with Dreamview.
The company uses environmentally friendly products and equipment to do the job. Rather than spread chemicals near the water, they know that a bit of elbow grease goes a long way.
This is also part of their efficiency in getting the job done right, and on time, says Sandy Willis, another cottager who recommends Dreamview.
She called them as a treat to herself – specifically to do a quality clean on her glass railings.
“I’m a terrible window cleaner myself and I was a bit overwhelmed,” she recalls. The results were amazing. “It was stunning, it was truly a gift. And they are unbelievably efficient. I thought I’d have equipment all over the place, but they don’t work that way. They work in stages and bring the equipment along the way, so the workspace is neat and tidy.”
Reliable, ethical, environmentally conscious and efficient: it’s no wonder Dreamview keeps getting wonderful reviews from their clients.
