Sunspace Sunrooms

Enclose your porch with a custom sunroom

If watching nature sleep under a blanket of white has you dreaming of future seasons enjoying the outdoors, you’re not alone.

In fact, it’s the reason why so many cottagers across our region are converting their open-air porches into sunrooms that can be enjoyed well beyond the summer season.

“Sunrooms offer the open air feeling of your existing deck but with the added protection from the bugs, the elements, and harmful UV rays,” says François Beaudry, Director of Marketing for Sunspace, North America’s leading sunroom manufacturer.

Since the company opened in 1991, Sunspace has become a household name, recognized for its exceptional quality and reliability.

At Sunspace, you don’t get a one-size-fits-all sunroom – you get a customized, innovative design, crafted with trustworthy authorized dealers who understand the region and its needs.

Each sunroom is custom-designed to enjoy the sun long after summer has passed. “We want you to be able to bring the outside in and make the most of your location by giving you a space where you can enjoy it comfortably.”

Model 200
Their best-selling sunroom style is the Model 200 – a three-season sunroom design featuring WeatherMaster four-track vinyl windows that slide up or down effortlessly to maximize sunlight, visibility and ventilation.

“This model is designed to let in up to 75 percent greater ventilation than the standard side-sliding window, making it comfortable even at peak summer temperatures.”

WeatherMaster – Sunspace’s exclusive, trademarked brand – features durably glazed Viewflex vinyl and is a window system designed specifically for porches, sunrooms, and patio enclosures. They’re durable, easy to open, and customizable with five different aluminum frame colours and four long-lasting window tints: clear, smoke, dark grey, or bronze. These tints not only customize the look and feel of your sunroom, but they also allow you to tailor the amount of light they let in.

Designed and crafted in Ontario at their facilities in Newcastle and Lindsay, Sunspace’s sunroom products offer a diverse range of styles to suit varying budgets and existing architectural features.

In fact, your sunroom can blend seamlessly with your home’s architecture. Add siding to the exterior, shingle the roof, and even add knotty pine to the sunroom’s gable system for a timber-frame-style design.

Even the roof can be customized to fit your build’s existing architecture: from studio roofs for modern builds to a gable style for a classic Muskoka room design.

“We can match your roof pitch and overhang to any application.”

Walls Under
Unlike ordering a kit from overseas, Sunspace’s dealers customize your sunroom package to fit your existing architecture.

If you have an existing deck or covered porch, the Walls Under porch conversion system allows you to use your existing porch as the foundation for your Model 200-style sunroom.

“Walls Under allows you to shield yourself and your family from rain, wind, and harmful UV rays while still enjoying natural light,” Francois says, adding that their under-wall and porch conversion systems are custom-made and tailored to every project. “Simply select your window system and choose a stylish state-of-the-art design with custom-fitted panels for the conversion system.”

All installs are taken care of by thoroughly trained Sunspace installers.

Model 400
Another popular option is the Model 400. This design features three-inch insulated foam walls and strong aluminum supports with thermal breaks that minimize heat loss and condensation.

This model is designed to maximize R-values – from energy-efficient windows to a versatile Therma-Deck, a strong, insulated floor ready for any finish.

“It’s perfect for those who want a sunroom that keeps you comfortable from early spring to late autumn.”

Sunspace’s advantage
While knock-offs produce cookie-cutter kits overseas, Sunspace continues to craft sunrooms that enhance their clients’ lives, while increasing their home’s property value.

“Every sunroom is Canadian-made,” says Francois. “This means rigorous quality control and meticulous craftsmanship you can rely on.”

By buying your sunroom through an authorized Sunspace dealer, you get the peace of mind of knowing your sunroom will be built to code, with the care needed to stand up to our region’s weather extremes.

“This new year, enjoy more of the great outdoors with a sunroom you can depend on.”
