Custom awnings and covers protect people and property

Soaking in the sun on a warm summer’s day is one of life’s great pleasures. Just the sight of the sun through a window often lifts spirits, while its strongest rays provide healthy doses of vitamin D.

But just because something is good for human beings, doesn’t make it good for boats, furniture, or other valuables. As well, there are plenty of people who love the warmth, but have sensitivities to UV rays; plus, it’s a good idea for everyone to take breaks during the day.

Cantilevered awnings, dock and deck shades, and dock slipcovers can provide the shade needed to protect both property and people, says Aquadome sales coordinator Lindsay McCready. Cantilevered awnings can be mounted in different ways depending on their main use.

“Protecting your boat or outdoor furniture from fading and other UV damage will help keep it in great shape for longer,” says Lindsay. “And we all like to have some shade throughout a hot sunny day – whether we are able to get a tan or not.”

The well-built Aquadome awnings and covers also provide protection from rain, which can cause moisture buildup in your boat leading to rotting wood, mould and mildew. And they keep pine needles, pine sap and leaves from accumulating on your boat.

Cantilevered awnings, car shelters, dock slip covers, and deck shades from Aquadome are made with tightly fitted marine-grade canopies and strong frame construction. For over three decades, Aquadome has built a reputation for durability.

Accenting or matching existing exterior décor is simple as well: 15 different fabric colours are available, while the frame can be either a silvery aluminum colour or powder-coated in white or black.

“You don’t have to sacrifice style for function,” explains Lindsay. “We can provide the best of both worlds.”
