Professionals know what it takes to do the job right

There is something truly special about a recently paved driveway – whether it’s using asphalt or another quality material.

The freshly paved asphalt helps the landscape and environment around your property to pop.

But experienced professionals understand getting to that stage means considering a lot of other factors beforehand.

“No matter what size project you have, the grading, surroundings and location are all factors that you have to think about,” says Niki Pickett of Ital Paving. “Each driveway is different, so there isn’t a one-size-fits all solution.”

Good grading ensures the water flows away from the garage or home, but still avoids pooling on stone pathways or patios, and doesn’t all go into a garden to drown your plants.

Knowing how to navigate these items, as well as properly apply the paving, is why Ital Paving has become the go-to paver in Simcoe and Muskoka for driveways of all sizes, as well as custom golf paths, and more.

Collaborative effort
As a local contractor, Ital Paving is adept at coordinating and working with other contractors to minimize stress and inconvenience for their mutual clients.

Rather than force the homeowner to be the go between, Niki and her team prefer to collaborate amicably with the other people doing work – be it landscapers, builders, or other tradespeople – to ensure each part of a project is completed at the appropriate time.

“That’s why we’re your local paving experts: we know the communities we live and work in,” she says. “We’ve built great relationships with our fellow contractors and it’s beneficial to everyone.”

Plan your project
One thing Niki recommends is to think ahead about timing. If you’re looking to get a spring or even summer project quoted and scheduled, it’s best to book in the fall – or earlier.

As anyone who has tried to hire a contractor at the last minute will attest, the good ones – in any trade – are booked solid. Ital Paving is happy to do a visit, consult, and fairly quote a project well in advance, and they’ll stick to the price and timeline.

“We provide no-pressure quotes in the fall and early winter,” says Niki. “If the price works for our client, then we can lock it in and plan the project.”

Plus, Niki is a big supporter of community organizations: whether it’s local sports teams, hospital foundations, or others, Ital Paving gives back.

“When you choose to support a local business, you’re supporting your community at large.”
