Look your best with plasma treatments

Everybody wants to be a rock star at some point in their lives. At the very least, they want to feel like one.

Rock stars are pampered, catered to, and surrounded by luxury. And, of course, they seem to stay young forever.

That same approach is taken by Medical Aesthetics of Muskoka (MAOM), as they continue to introduce innovative treatments such as Plexr Plus and NeoGen to keep their clientele on the cutting edge of medical aesthetics.

Dr. Kersti Kents, owner of MAOM, explains that these plasma energy devices provide many benefits over older laser and aesthetics procedures. The benefits include minimizing the risk of over-treatment and scarring, as well as reduced recovery times.

MAOM is quickly becoming known as Muskoka’s Plasma Centre of Excellence. They strive to deliver safe, effective, transformative results while reducing the need for traditional surgery.

NeoGen plasma treatments use ionized nitrogen gas to form plasma energy. The lack of oxygen in the plasma pulse allows the plasma to penetrate deep into the skin and target the underlying skin structure.

Plexr treatments are more superficial treatments, and can range from ablative to non-ablative. “Different handpiece tips and treatment techniques determine how the plasma energy is delivered, resulting in the ability to treat many different aesthetic concerns,” Dr. Kents explains.

Ablative Plexr treatments are used to remove tissue laxity and wrinkles, such as non-surgical eye lift/blepharoplasty, lines around the mouth, as well skin lesions such as skin tags and age warts. Semi-ablative Plexr, aka Cat Scratch, can address textured, crepey skin on any part of the body, and is an excellent option for neck rejuvenation.

Non-ablative Plexr treatments include the Rockstar and Glass Facials, which give a superstar impact with minimal downtime. These treatments mimic microneedling without the needles or bleeding. Instead, nano-bolts of plasma create nano-channels in the skin. These allow for deeper absorption of serums or PRP, which, in turn, signal proteins in the skin to stimulate collagen, providing visibly smoother, firmer, and more radiant skin.

For the ultimate paparazzi-worthy glow, the Glass Facial applies a serum mixed with neuromodulator (like Botox or Dysport) after your Rockstar treatment, to give a glass-like effect to the skin.

“Plasma technology is revolutionizing our field,” says Dr. Kents. “While not every client will be able to tolerate the downtime required for non-surgical facelift NeoGen treatments, or even Plexr eye lifts, using nano-plasma offers many benefits, including reduced downtimes, collagen stimulation and improved elasticity.”

With cutting-edge plasma technology at Medical Aesthetics of Muskoka, you won’t just feel like a rock star—you’ll look like one too, with skin that’s ready for the spotligh
