Muskoka Bay Clothing

Jump into spring and summer styles

The world is moving forward, and people everywhere are ready to jump into spring and summer with a fresh start.

A great way to celebrate renewal is by updating and freshening up your fashion, says Judy Terry of Muskoka Bay Clothing.

Judy and her team have been matching clients with the perfect outfit for 19 years from their downtown Gravenhurst location. Whether it’s for the event of the year, a night on the town, or a day on the boat, they have a knack for knowing what will bring out the best in each person.

And this year, looking your best means doing away with the casual home office attire.

“Casual is out, formal and dressing up is back on!” exclaims Judy. “It’s time to get back to our best selves, and that starts with our wardrobe.”

And it’s not just an expression: looking good really does help you feel good. Many studies over the years have confirmed that we get an emotional boost from the right clothing.

“There is a bit of psychology behind shopping for clothes and finding the perfect outfit,” says Judy. “It leads to confidence, empowerment and feeling ready to take on the world.”

But it’s more than that: clothes are like music, in that they can evoke positive memories and emotions – a dress that reminds you of the night you met your spouse, a pair of jeans that fit perfectly for all occasions, a scarf that elevates every event, a hat that looks stunning on you, and so on.

“We all have that one piece of clothing that makes us feel amazing when we put it on,” says Judy. “It often also makes us look really good too, so our mood is sky high with good energy.”

Same digs, new vibes
In the store, Judy and her team have made good use of the time to remove all the stock and then update and modernize the look. A fresh coat of paint and a few design touch-ups have given it a whole new atmosphere – the always welcoming vibe now has a very wide-open feel.

What hasn’t changed are the incredible service, and the quality of the clothing available to help you look and feel your finest, no matter the day.

While in store shopping is back in full force, Muskoka Bay Clothing’s updated online presence is remaining quite popular. Judy says they’ve noticed many clients pre-shopping on the website to get a feel for what they’re interested in.

“They’ll come in to see us and have an idea of what they want,” says Judy. “They’ll mention seeing particular items online and then come in to see how it looks on them.”
