It makes sense that the company responsible for the ultimate patio umbrella on the market would begin crafting outdoor furniture as well.
Indeed, that’s what Tuuci has done. Renowned for their best-in-the-world umbrellas built with marine-grade materials, the company is now offering a luxury line of chairs, ottomans, sofas, tables, benches, and more.
Always in the business of carrying the best products available – and with a longstanding relationship with Tuuci umbrellas – Muskoka Teak is carrying a number of those choice furniture items.
“Using the same artisanal craftsmanship as they have with their other products, Tuuci is taking outdoor furniture to another level of luxury,” says John Philbrick, who owns and operates Muskoka Teak with his brother Trevor.
Tuuci outdoor furniture collections feature frames that are cold-welded to bond stainless steel, polymer, and aluminum, which provides lasting strength.
The Luma collection’s patterns mimic woven wood: it looks like a natural material, with precise, artistic touches giving the pieces depth.
“With this collection, they weave strips of aluminium to give it the wood look and feel,” explains John. “These are stunning pieces that will last a lifetime.”
There are multiple finish options, including those that replicate natural or weathered wood, plus many other colour choices.
The Sail collection is taking modern elegance to a new plateau with a signature style they call the Spinnaker Weave, a delightful design of light and shadow that almost appears to be moving in certain lighting.

The Sola and Horizon collections feature more subdued frames that have minimalist appeal, while being built with both style and function in mind.
In each collection, the cushions have an interesting feature that help them stay in place even on windy days: each cushion notches into its neighbour, ensuring a perfect fit in the frame.
All Tuuci furniture is built to exceptional standards and comes with an industry leading guarantee on the frame. “They’ve thought of everything to make your experience as enjoyable and stress-free as possible,” says John. “The attention to detail with every part of the furniture is awe-inspiring. Coupled with their superior craftsmanship and innovative artistry, these exquisite outdoor furniture pieces are the ultimate addition to your home or cottage.”
One common question is how the cushions stay dry on the inside and last as long as the frame? Trevor explains that they have a waterproof membrane under the main cover which protects the durable, weather-resistant foam on the inside.
“You can take the covers off and wash them, then dry them and put them back on without impacting their longevity,” he explains.
Still teak
Though the brothers are adept at adding the best products on the market, their signature teak line of furniture and accessories is still very popular in Muskoka.
Since they started the business almost three decades ago, John and Trevor have sustainably sourced all of their teakwood products from Indonesia. From their flagship Muskoka chairs, harvest tables and dining chairs, to their creatively designed line of Canadian wildlife sculptures, each is built to last.
Teak is an especially good choice for waterfront living. One of the strongest, most durable woods on the planet, it is resistant to water, fungus, and most insects due to its tight grain and high natural oil content.
“It’s the perfect fit for Muskoka’s natural environment, particularly waterfront properties,” explains Trevor. “Our teak products are made to last through the generations as the next set of family members takes over the property.”
