When combined with the delightful aura of owners Tony and Gen Leitao, who exude a passion for assembling the perfect outfit for any occasion, it makes Luxe Loft a destination for cottagers, visitors, and full-time residents alike.
“We want all our guests to feel like they are entering a warm and inviting space,” explains Gen. “Come in, take your time and we’ll help you pick out exactly what you need to look and feel your finest.”
Indeed, The Luxe Loft offers comfy chairs for partners needing a rest, and water and coffee to enjoy while perusing the carefully curated premium clothing collection, which features exclusive brands from around the globe.
The inspiration for this boutique shopping experience came gradually as the couple travelled through Canada and Europe over the years. They loved being able to browse, try on, and choose only the best fits for themselves – with zero pressure to buy from salespeople.
Many of the best experiences were found in small boutiques, and the couple’s unique fashion always turned heads when they returned home. Friends and family members were enthralled because no one else was wearing the same style.
“Shopping for clothes should be relaxing and fun,” says Tony. “When we saw the way people would spend a day exploring all the many fantastic options at little boutiques throughout Europe, we knew we wanted to bring that home.”
Prior to their foray into fashion, the couple had different career paths. Tony is an engineer and Gen works casually as a nurse, but their love for tremendous textiles – especially finding top selections from unique designers around the world – determined their future path.

The range includes stylish maternity pieces, comfortable and flattering attire for men and women, handmade Italian men’s shoes, ladies’ shoes by Canadian designer Poppy Barley, outfits for kids and babies, and much more.
Stylish regions showcased at the boutique include Portugal, Australia, Scandinavia, Switzerland, Belgium, and Germany. Brands such as Liverpool jeans, Tommy Bahama, Repeat Cashmere, and others are all found at the lovely shop.
“EsQualo is a Dutch brand of feminine clothing inspired by a little town in Spain,” says Gen. “That’s another thing we look for, the stories behind the clothes. It adds a little something extra to each piece.”
Boutique serviceTony and Gen not only love to dress themselves in something fabulous, but they want to help everyone else too.
Though they let everyone browse at their own pace, Gen says they also keep mental notes on sizes, colour preferences, and more, so they can offer suggestions that take a good fit and make it outstanding.
They give honest answers about the best size, colours, and patterns for each person. Everyone has something special about them that a great wardrobe can bring out.
“Helping style our clients is not just a service we provide, but a big reason why we love being in fashion,” she says. “If there is too much pattern, let’s tone it down with a white or black tank top. If the whole ensemble needs to match, let’s make sure you also find flats or heels that work.”
Even if they don’t have something at the moment, The Luxe Loft can keep an eye out through their brand partners and find it later on. Tony says they have a list of clients they have found the right style and fit for after they left the store.
And if the exact match is no longer made or not available, they’ll call you back and see what other options are available that you’ll love.
“We have a customer book to help find those pieces we may not have the day you visit us,” says Tony. “For example, we have a vest that we found for a client who bought a matching outfit. I thought of her, brought the vest in, and she came in to pick it up because she loved it!”
Now that’s the type of boutique experience that creates memorable shopping adventures for one and all.
